From tracking ID to live data
in seconds.
No integrations. No setup. Just type a tracking ID and TruShipy surfaces live carrier data — direct from the source.
To track a shipment with TruShipy, enter a container number, vessel ID, or Bill of Lading number. TruShipy calls the carrier API in real time and charges one credit only on a successful response, then returns a full event timeline with port milestones, live vessel position, and ETAs — no setup or integration required.

Frequently Asked
How it works — your questions
Exactly what happens between entering a tracking ID and seeing live carrier data.
How do I track a shipment with TruShipy?
Three steps. First, enter any container number, vessel name/IMO/MMSI, or Bill of Lading number — no special formatting needed. Second, TruShipy calls the relevant carrier API in real time and deducts one credit only on a successful response. Third, you get a structured event timeline with port milestones, live vessel position, and ETAs. You can save shipments to your dashboard and revisit them for free.
How long does a lookup take?
Results appear in seconds — as fast as the carrier API responds. TruShipy queries the shipping line directly the moment you submit, so there is no batch delay or overnight refresh. Response time depends mainly on the carrier's own systems; most major lines return milestones near-instantly.
When is a credit charged?
A credit is deducted only when a lookup returns a successful carrier response. If a search fails, or the carrier has no data for that reference, you are not charged. Revisiting a shipment you have already tracked in your dashboard is always free — credits apply only to fresh lookups against the carrier.
Do I need to integrate anything or set up an account first?
No integration or setup is required. Create a free account and you can track immediately using the credits granted on sign-up — no API keys, no TMS connection, no configuration. Just enter a tracking ID in the dashboard and TruShipy handles carrier identification and data retrieval for you.
What input formats can I enter?
TruShipy normalises carrier formats automatically, so you can paste a container number with or without spaces or dashes (ISO 6346 format, e.g. MSCU7654321), a vessel IMO/MMSI number or vessel name, or a Bill of Lading reference. You do not need to pre-clean the input or know which carrier owns the shipment — TruShipy routes the query to the right line.
Is the data scraped or carrier-direct?
Carrier-direct. TruShipy calls shipping-line APIs and live AIS feeds rather than scraping carrier portals or relying on third-party aggregators. The milestones, ETAs, and vessel positions you see come straight from the source at the moment of your lookup — fresher and more reliable than scraped or cached data.
